Something never heard of in highly ranked college basketball, #2 Baylor
I told members I was looking deeply at this year's college basketball.
    What I discovered is "unreal."

Baylor--how does this team do it--of their top 8 scoring players and most minutes played, combined, have, yes, 7 guards in that group?
The top scorers in guard play: Butler at 17 pnts., Teague at 15, Mitchell at 11.5, and Flagler at ..10. The other 3 guards playing the most minutes and having far less stats, only average close to 13 minutes playing time a game and only averaging around 6 pnts., being Mayer, Vital, and Cryer.

They rely on 4 forwards for inside stats and have, get this: No center at all!
The most game influencing of those 3 forwards, have average stats, with Tchatchoua, at 6-8, 245, averaging about 8.5 pnts. and 6.5 rbs., while having the most minutes played, only, at slightly over half of a game.
The other two Big's; Thomba, has size, 6-10 , 245 lbs., but only sees 2/5 of a game, and his stats; 4 pnts, 4.3 rbs.
The other 2 are not a factor this season.

What do these stats tell you about Baylor?

They shoot a lot of 3’s and they aren’t concerned about being out rebounded or punished in the post

In this day and age, three ball is king; post play not necessarily needed.

Baylor, like so many teams in this modern, evolving basketball world, has a 95% black lineup, including all starters and first 9 top scorers, I do believe?
Meaning, to me: Highly athletic and will shoot more threes--because--they can get open quicker than Whitey.
Also, with no player playing with any regularity [only one] taller than 6-8, they can run and run all day long.

Gonzaga is quite different, that is for sure. Almost a complete opposite of Baylor. How interesting, if, and when they meet.

Yes, and don't the Books love it, and those unpredictable threes, too?
