Bring your Laptop Battery back to Life

Tried this on an older ASUS X555L

Worked

Battery life went from 20mins to 1.5hrs

1. Change Power Setting: (on battery) 'Turn off the display' to NEVER and 'Put the computer to sleep' to NEVER

2. On battery power... run it down so it will auto shutoff. Reboot (still on battery). Repeat auto shutdown

3. Close lid... plug in charger. Let charge to fully complete

4. Repeat #2

5. Repeat #3

6. Reset Power settings

7. Worked for Sammy

This ASUS X555L is several years old however about 2yrs ago upgraded HDD to SS 500gb then used HDD as 2nd HD (will lose CD Rom). Also , maxed out the ram (believe doubled it)

Obviously wont work with a defective dead battery but most laptop batteries are not handled correctly concerning charging and when to charge
