Holy cow! Today is my 10th year SBR anniversary.

Holy cow, it seems like just ten years ago I joined this dysfunction little club.
What did Groucho once say?
"I'm not sure I want to be in a club where they would have me as a member"
Somebody must be doing something right, normally I have the attention span of ten minutes, or roughly the attention span of your garden variety fruit fly no less ten years.

It's a pleasure talking sports and what not with you guys.
If the good Lord is willing and if the creek don't rise and the sun don't fry I hope to be talking to you guys in ten more years.

Thanks, I love to write.
I do a lot of technical writing in real life, I love to write about my passion (baseball) with my disposable time too,
As I like to say brevity is not my forte, but as long as you enjoy reading my stuff I enjoy writing it.

SBR is a perfect outlet for what I like to do.
And it keeps me sharp for my other ventures.

Oh sure, I can be a bit of an opinionated attention whore (the hell you say)
But aren't personal opinions the very essence of platforms like this one?

Thank you for that Vit but I don't think the bar is low.
Ten years ago there was much less traffic than today.
With more traffic comes more spam/trolling/ etc.
(I know, I've been involved with platforms like this for the past 25 years now when I used to help run the old baseball.com forum which is now defunct. Baseball.com sold the domain name for megabucks)

With more traffic you just have to sift through the garbage a little bit more, but there is still quality information to be gathered here.

The big difference I have noticed in the past decade is ten years ago there were a lot more poster write ups with their pick selections then there are today.

It seemed like every poster back then would give a paragraph or two reason as to why they are making a certain selection.
Today there's a lot of "I think St. Louis wins today" type of threads with no substance to back it up.

I don't want to see everyone to effort an eight paragraph post like I tend to do, because if everyone was like me this planet would be in a world of hurt. But I would like to see just a reason or two as to why one posts an opinion.

That's just me though, not a beef, or a gripe, or a bitch.
Just an observation.
