Lots of teams would still take him over who they are starting.

It's called no pass protection. That makes every good QB look bad.

No pass protection
Great D line for Rams
Conservative play calling
Still like Russell but how many guys ever win big games after big contracts? Too much money tied up in one guy. We’ll see.

it's a combination of terrible coaching by Carroll and his staff plus Wilson not being in shape and becoming a little more washed up each year. it's been this way since they choked that Super Bowl away against the Pats, a steady decline from there.

Time to get an OL that can protect I think. That's all they are missing in Seattle right now. That offensive line is horrible.

Gotta give Russ time to throw in the pocket, he gets rattled with no pass protection like most QB's do. Wilson still an accurate deep throw passer when given time to throw.

Their offensive line is trash, he can cover that up sometimes but not always.

I'll say the Rams got VERY lucky bringing Goff back in the game. May have been a different story if the back up QB didn't get injured and taken out and then stayed in the entire game?
Goff came up big and settled down the offense I think in the end.
Every game has a story. This one did. Rams move on. Bottom line..

Wilson is a top 5 QB. He threw 40 TDs this year which is the most he has ever thrown.
Their defense blows.

It is called ZERO pass protection, poor offensive line play. Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady would suffer with that line. Luckily Wilson is mobile, so he is less likely to get hurt.

Legitimate question for the football heads.
This game only happens 10% of the time. It's a lot closer 90% of the time. In this situation, mediocre defense and poor coaching were multiplied by a once in a decade, incredibly inspired performance by the Rams defense. Los Angeles won their superbowl and can't be trusted the next game whoever the QB is.

the short answer is the playcalling. he was lights out in the beginning of the year. they overreacted to a bad streak of wilson's.
