Pair of .500 teams.
Wisconsin based off of what I have seen this short season is the superior team.
Badgers have played a much tougher schedule than Wake as well.
Only ranked team the Demons played were Clemson and they were outclassed there at the start of the season.
Their wins were against mediocre ACC teams and a blowout against the 0-4 Campbell Fighting Camels.
(Fighting Camels? That's the best nickname that University can come up? Fighting Camels, really, Camels spit on people and other animal in defense, that's not really fighting)
But I digress.
I really don't like the term 'quality loss' as a loss is a loss but there is no shame in losing those games the Badgers did to IU, Iowa, and Northwestern all top 20 ranked teams at the time. Not once in those three games were they embarrassed.
In defense of Wake they are making steps towards being a respectable ACC football program, but they are still are what they are, a 3-3 ninth place ACC team in a not so strong ACC Conference.
Speaking of defense (and I am the master of seamless sequels) Wisky here has the superior defense, Wake does have some offense, not enough offense to put up three scores against this Badger unit IMO.
Badgers are not known for offense, it's not who they are IMO do have enough to cover the ten spot.
Based on what I have seen from these two teams so far, and the strength of schedule edge I like Wisconsin here.
I'm putting my money where my mouth is as I always preach good defense will always beat good offense (if you can call WF's offense good) and laying -10.
Wisconsin -10 (-103 Heritage)
50 dollars plus the juice to win 50
(I am aware some shops out there have 9.5 but the three books I have funds in are all offering -10 and I am not funding a fourth book for a half point on a tiny 50 dollar bet, and I don't buy 1/2 points in football either)
If the game winds up ten, then so be it
