I met Greene and Lloyd at their favorite watering hole in my backyard during training camp ..

They were cool as fukk. Treated me like one of the guys..

Greene was a Wildman in the bars as well..

    Always intense with everything, Lol......

    RIP Kevin.....

I have a feeling you won't be resting very much though with all that natural stamina, Lol...

I remember him being on the niners. There was a game where both Young and Greene were out with injuries, and I want to say the Niner backup might have been Grbac at the time. Greene walks over to him before the opening drive and grabs him by the helmet to give him a pep talk. At the end of it, he legit headbutts Grbac (Grbac had his helmet on and Greene obviously did not). Legend.

Football stars just don’t tend to age well. I think read a stat that their life expectancy is mid to late 50’s. They do it all for the glory. They live as dangerously as construction workers but get compensated pretty well.

Was he part of the concussion lawsuit?

The silence regarding a cause of death is concerning...makes me fear self inflicted.

                        Not good for NFL

no cause of death made known to the public after a week

does that seem to indicate that it was suicide?

                              100%

Thou toxicology reports can take weeks, we'd be determining a suicide by overdose of something most likely.

                              Family been very tight lipped.

Kevin Greene: A Football Life (2016)

NFL Network's A Football Life Profiles Hall OF Fame LB Kevin Greene.

During his 15-year career, Kevin Greene became one of the most dominant pass rushers in the history of the NFL. His 160 sacks are the most all-time by a linebacker, and he is one of just three players to record at least 10 sacks in at least 10 seasons. Kevin Greene: A Football Life examines Greene's playing career, his intensity and discipline, and his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

I just go by trends of deaths to high impact players. For example we all remember Junior Seau and how he died. Tight end Aaron Hernandez lost his mind and hung himself in prison, other get hooked on pain killers, etc.

58 is kinda young for Kevin Green to go. I have to think it was something other then natural death causes.. It's the detective in me.. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/22/s...eene-dead.html

CTE is real especially for the hard hitting linebackers. Remember Junior Seau?

No cause of death yet definitely screams suicide. Sadly, you can’t just lie and say natural death without a future “gothca” catching you in a lie.

NFL Hall of Famer and US Army veteran Kevin Greene died at the age of 58 on Monday, according to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He was found in his home, and a cause of death has not been reported yet, though family members have said that they believe he died from a heart attack.
