The problem with the Philadelphia roster is their 3 best players are all below average 3 point shooters, Simmons, embiid, and Harris.

The issue was always the roster not the coach even though the city scapegoated Brett Brown.

Brett Brown was horrible.

Utahs frontline can’t guard on the perimeter at all, they can’t go small either because their whole defensive system is built around Gobert

We had the debate in here between teams and players. Utah is the definition of a team, nearly the whole Clipper roster was built in the last 2 years. It’s early but the Clippers have matchup advantages all over the floor.

The roster wasn’t great until they got Butler. He’s the reason Jimmy left…..browns defensive philosophy does not work in the nba because it doesn’t defend the pick n roll. Brown was horrible at creating mismatches and was always caught in bad matchups. He was always outcoached in the playoffs…..especially against Boston and Brad Stevens. Getting rid of Brown was an upgrade no matter who they hired.

Embiid is a different person now, he’s married and he grew up, he was out of shape and lazy back then, which is the main reason why Philadelphia lost the series to Toronto

This game played out exactly the way I thought it would with the Clippers dominating early and then tiring late, which is why I bet the Clippers first quarter. The NBA basically handed game 1 to Utah with the scheduling but that’s the benefit of not going 7, that’s part of the game.
