Jesus Christ. That looks like a road right near me. It's not though, different city.

When the snow first started, there were cars slipping and sliding all over the place. This is why I swear by studded winters tires. Have them on all of our vehicles. There was barely anything on the road and a tractor trailer with a flatbed was hauling some big ass equipment was completely stuck on the main road near my house, just sitting there spinning on a light dusting of snow. He's probably still there.

The three guys he almost killed their car is up that slop by the tree.

When I was running FedEx in SoDak we had, what I considered rather mild, 12 inches one morning.

However, being new to SoDak, I was unaware how absolutely no trees out there would affect this.

Within 3 hours there was over 7 feet blown up against every garage door, railroad track, elevated road, etc. Its crazy what the wind does w it!

Doesn't seem too bad. A foot of snow isn't a huge deal when it's over the course of like 14 hours.

Do you mean black ice? That wasn't the problem in that video. Driver was going too fast down the hill with the roads obviously in bad condition. Should have had in a low gear and been creeping. Probably a woman driver.

I just finished an hour an 1/2 snowing in the dark. I am done for the night. My back is killing me.

Just woke up and there is 10 inches and still cranking.

I'm in MA north of Boston. I think we'll end up with between 12 and 18 inches. It's not too cold and not too windy, so shoveling won't be so bad.

It's supposed to stay below freezing when the storm is over, so there will be good XC skiing for me... If we're going to live where it snows we might as well own it and enjoy it instead of bitching about it.

Woke up this morning and we only got about an inch overnight. Thank God. I am way too sore from yesterday to be shoveling again. We got a total of about a foot overall.

finally stopped snowing. ended up with 17.
I cleared off the basketball court, building a 3 foot packed bank around it for iceskating rink for kids
Gonna carve some seating in the snowbanks and flood the court tonight.
