I never seem to have these wagers at the correct book.

I wonder how the books can really afford to do this. There's always going to be bad beats. If you do this, you're refunding one side while the other side wins. That's got to be a huge liability. I guess it builds goodwill, but like you said people are going to come to expect it and then complain when they don't do it next time.

it is a nice gesture. maybe they made so much for the week and on browns straight up bets that they don't care. it comes across as gimmicky but i would not complain if bookmaker did the same for me.

It's marketing. People will always love FanDuel for the time they gave them back their bet and it makes people more likely to deposit there.

Yep
Why they basically control the market
If They were ever in Nevada they would crush every book nobody wants them
there
Fandual
And DraftKings A monopoly on sports betting in the United States except Nevada because never got a shot to go there

Pretty sure PointsBet is also doing it. Their "Good Karma Committee"....
The last one I remember seeing there was the Titans after all those missed FGs by Gostkowski. I think I'm remembering that right.

They are Fantasy idiots who always distanced themselves from sportsbetting for so very long
But they changed their stance when they saw dollar signs
Now they are making a mockery of it
Can't stand those hypocrites

So is there a rollover in a refunded Browns “pre-live” bet?
Also...I wonder how much of FanDuel’s handle is “pre-live” bets anyway. Lotta people seem to dig them for player props, and the ability to parlay within the same game with them. And they make it very easy to live bet too so I bet there’s a shitload of live action. So it’s possible this was a smaller percentage of what they took on the game in total than we realize. And they’re making themselves look like Santa Claus

Unlike offshore, the legals seem very customer friendly
Happens almost weekly at DKs I've noticed

Site credit means free play. Not really a "refund" but still a nice gesture. I'm sure people will be grateful.

This a good marketing ploy to make people play with US books than offshore. If offshore doesn't up their game with promos they will be irrelevant soon.

Ya probably under a certain limit, I'm not sure what there's is. A guy with a 50k wager ain't getting that money.
Now everytime a bad beat happens (which happens all the time), people will want a hand out.

Their marketing budget is insane
Smart though because it's not cash - site credits. Pointsbet does the same thing. They have a good karma fund up to $100 on the bad beat of your choice.

I had a big straight bet on browns that has yet to be refunded and a big parlay with Bills/Browns. No refund at Fanduel that I’ve seen reflecting in my account.
