Rudy I was 19, freshman trying to walk on to the bball team. Broke my wrist deadlifting, juicing didn't crack the top 5 dumbest thing I did in those days. The entire football team was juicing in hs, it was an accepted culture back then

I used bench as an example bc I assumed most posters here don't know much about lifting beyond that. Legs is everything when it comes to d1 sports, the hockey and rugby team players were nice enough to let me train with them then. The workouts were brutal

I totally agree. I remember playing a high school game in which a REF just gave me that dirty eye during warm ups.... and he just didn't like me. You didn't say anything wrong to him... you were even friendly to him with a smile. All it takes is a questionable call... and it would set you off. It sounds like this is exactly what happened to this kid. He was having a bad day.... something happened during pregame warmups.... and during the game... he believed he didn't do anything wrong... and the REF is just taking it out on him. Kid came back and said F U.

Texas football is a way of life so I'm not to sure about how they'd handle this situation but refs are akin to cable or insurance companies. Dirt bags of the sports world.

Although the kid's team won the game and made state playoffs, the school has decided the team will not be allowed to play. That would suck if you were on his team and now the season is over because of his stupid actions.

Back in my days, there were team brawls and we became friends after.

Has anyone here ever even taken roids? Most pussies just assume someone is on it bc they themselves can't fathom ever being that strong or angry. If that kid was on roids he'd have killed the ref. I wasn't half the athlete he is and I was benching 405 on the bench when I took roids. For most of the uninformed here that's 4 plates on each side. Imagine what a purebred athlete on roids would be like

I managed gym / health club for about three years. I witnessed first hand what roids can do and their side effects. One peer went from 150 bench to 425 bench in six weeks. There was also a dramatic change in personally .He stopped after three cycles. Pimples galore on his back and bitch tit in front. Ended up getting fired.
There was one quiet Asian guy who was just naturally strong. He told me his father was the same way. Never did roids. 5'6" 145lb.He could do sets with 515 easily. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

Kid will have a very rough road ahead... who hasn’t wanted to do that to someone at some point?! We all have... but it just doesn’t work like that. Self control is important in life. Hate to discard the kid though too... he needs to be helped. Casting him away is not the solution.
