Don't worry guys. Genie made a decision without realizing this was normally not allowed. But Smitch had a very good reason and there was a couple of other factors going on that made this a good solution this year.
It hasn't been 'announced' as it's not meant to set a precedent for the future. It would open up holes to take shots and just be a mess of arguments if swaps were allowed as a free for all..Comment -

Being that it was next man up #13...I would think someone should be allowed to bow out if they have other commitments.
Now if this was a case where someone like Team World called in Sinmiedo type of ringer, then that would be a big problem (since they didn’t participate in the promo).
But next man up seems fair to all.

With Smitch wanting to pull out, it gave the opportunity to not unfairly penalize 12th place in East and 13th place in West, and not be forced to DQ Chaoz when he is insistent he's not where all the available tech evidence says he is.
Next year players will be clearly warned that if they are in the wrong team, they need to speak up early or wont get any leniency.
Explaining this to try and hose down arguments. Not perfect, but given how SBR assigned teams and didn't double check people or ask them to speak up, the Smitch pull-out was very helpful to end up with close to a completely fair solution.

by way or wrap on on trnies 1 and 2 of Day 2, PO69 goes back to back, drilling the field again in his own unique style; which has him in the early running for CUP MVP honors if he stays hot..... Enky was the last to fall to the PO69 juggernaut, picking up a solo point for team world, which ran the night cap table last night (after I passed out), to surge into the lead....
second tourney of the day, went to team world as well, with Chip-up picking up the solo point.

I ran into AA 3 times and QQ to finally put me down. I thought triv or whatever the hell his name is slow rolled me, took a while to call. I'll be honest, I wasn't in the best place after having technical errors from sbr (tournament ID not available) and then some members of my own team riding my ass about it. I tried to chill, but once craig woke up with AA it was kind of down hill from there.
I'm assuming trivs World and stealing wifi from a Mom and Pop laundry outfit in Zimbabwe, so I get it.Comment -
