It's quite common to go for two when you are down two TDs, it's the right % play since if made then you score another TD, extra point wins game. While if you miss, you can still go for two again to tie it.

Again, I think by the odds going for two in that scenario is the right mathematical play.

Yeah, you basically would have to go 0/2 on two yard plays for it to bite you in the ass, and chances are you can get two yards, ideally on the first attempt, or second if you have to get back to even.

The more curious call was forgoing the field goal (down by 11) when it was 4th and 4.

Many teams are going for 2 when down by two td’s late. I’ve seen it a bunch of times. They say it’s analytics.

Teams have been doing it all year if you go back and look at teams down 14 late who score almost all go for 2. This is probably the 1st where it's been happening on a regular basis.

How was that? The books got middled. The line opened- -4.5 and only hit -6.5 hours before the game. Lots of pushes and a lot of people betting both sides for the middle.
