7 million sounds like a lot, but when 3 million goes to taxes and another 1 million/year for alimony...

People upset that they are paying a guy $17 million to talk about football yet nobody bats an eye about paying below average players hundreds of millions....

Nantz is ok at best. Stick to golf his boring approach fits golf better.

I'd rather listen to Romo than just about anyone else.

                          Disagree.

Golf isn't the NFL or NBA, but I think this link says more:

Nantz is great at golf, very good at NFL and NCAA hoops. Rarely hear him trip. Be shocked to see him even entertain ESPN except for leverage. The most important golf tournament in the word is the Masters and he's the face and the voice of it. People don't turn in for the announcers, but as people have pointed out in this thread, if they're sub par, like Monday Night Football, you notice them. If it's a big hoops or football game, Nantz is calling it for CBS. He deserves some sort of bump.

More on the announcers that "no one cares for." CBS, especially with golf, has come under fire for getting rid of the personality guys like Gary McCord and instead they've turned it into a Sky Sports productions with countless British commentators that know no more about the game then their American counterparts, They need to bring back the humor. NBC, I never thought I'd say this, has basic caught up to CBS' coverage, as Hicks & Co. were a grade below.

Give this money to the scientists who are developing vaccines for covid or the nurses and doctors at the ER if you want to make a difference. These people are doing something to save people's lives. What does a monkey in a suit in an air-conditioned booth do for 3 hrs telling me the plays I can see with my eyes that deserves 17 million?
                            this.

esp today i just watch redzone and could care less who calls. i got eyes and can see what happens. i need some tool in a suit cause he has a nice voice make over $17 fcukin million to tell me a team is on the 5 yard line???

at least romo adds something to the game, though he is way overpaid as well.
