If you had an opportunity to choose a job between retail sportsbook management (Caesars) or working as a sportsbook trader for an online book (pointsbet), which would you choose? Income about equal. Retail is at the book, online company is work from home.

    Thanks

Choose the one with the most advancement opportunity. If you screw up the trading, you are out of a job. Can't screw up the retail.

I'll also add that you do not move from one job to another without getting a raise. Trading is more responsibility and higher risk and should be higher paid. Working for Caesar's has to be more advancement opportunity. I'd stay with them unless you do not like the job. If you like the job, I'd definitely stay.

I think my future resides in Terre Haute, Indiana but, I have a lot to consider between now and then.

Caesar’s all the way. I think there’s more upside there. They will have online opportunities soon enough if that’s what you choose. Brick & Mortar still going to be strong. I’d think based on what you have shared with us, getting out of the house and having that social/go to work purpose is a good thing. Don’t get stuck in a rut. Get out end enjoy the customers.

Great point. Caesars going full throttle into online business. I'm leaning.

Well, you have stated what you look like and where you work: only a matter of time Brock Landers (literally) and the 'Broke Landers of the World' stop by and harass you for a collateral-fee loan. So...maybe you go online....

Jk, listen to others not me.

Hahahaha wrongside. I'm aware of this and I welcome any person to visit me. I'm good with that, obviously. Everyone in my life knows me and who I am. I learned not to hide long ago working on the forums. Bring it on. I'll handle it as necessary. Easy money. I'm easy to find if you want to talk.

I would say a lot of this depends on what you specifically want to do. Also depends on your financial situation (which I'm not informed enough on to speculate about). If you're pretty set take either one. If you're hard up for the cash take the trading position.

Nobody on any board (but especially this one) is going to be able to tell you what's best for your financial situation without additional details

Thanks hubie. Ya know I really enjoy writing, buy my experience and passion for this industry is way beyond what normal writers possess. I'm in a unique position. I actually care about and love my job. I want to just be a writer and enjoy the interaction but I have so much talent beyond that. I understand that sounds egotistical but it's just fact.

If you're financially stable and love your job, why switch it up? The financial situation matters. If you're setup well you can do what you love to do, not necessary what you should do because you need the money.

Take JJ for example. I'm sure he doesn't *want* to work the glory hole spots at Truckstops in the LeHigh Valley. But it's not about want......
