2- ANYTIME a wr or TE stiff arms a defender while the ball is in the air its PI that's legit. You are taught in college to keep your arms low until the ball enters the ,"zone" then you catch it at its highest and furthest point.

The ref made the right call, that TE would have been fine if he let his arm hang. The stiff arm is what refs are looking for

looks like the tiny tiny extension of his arm didn't give him any extra separation from the defender... who didn't stumble or slow down

you don't throw a flag that may determine the outcome after purdue had fought so hard to get in that position

I lost my bet and when I first watched thought it was one of the worse calls I've ever seen. Watching that slow motion replay and thinking about the refs angle I can see it. The stiff arm ever so slightly broke the defenders momentum. I still don't like the call live.
