Mertz is pretty good but he hasn't been in a dogfight with a defense that has a pulse... Illinois and Michigan (who were missing their starting bookends on the defensive line) made things too easy for the Wisky offense and the Badgers played with an enormous margin for error the whole game. Things should tighten up in this game with a lot of short to medium runs and rolling clock.
