Simply not the same pressure on players playing without fans.

Nope. I am a huge follower of golf and a big reason for pressure in majors is roaring of the fans.

Without fans they may as well be playing a practice round in their backyard. No pressure at all.

Fans at golf are quiet. If you want to put golfers under pressure you need to bring some soccer ultras to scream at them and hurl insults.

lol it 100% should count. What kind of question is this? It’s not like the US Open tennis tournament where you have half the field pulling out. The best of the best are still playing.
