Weather looks good Friday through Sunday. It’s just today. Can’t afford a washout with short days. That said, they have a short field so after the cut they can probably speed things up.

Radar doesn’t look bad. I think they’ll be back out there by noon. Forecast looks great rest of week. They’ll finish by Sunday easy. Don’t forget they cut down to 44 so they can almost all tee off at once by round 3.

If they lose the day today it will be hard to finish before Monday because it gets dark so early in November.

They won’t lose today. They’ll get the first half in. Smaller field esp after cut will allow them to get back on track by sunset Saturday.

So is it better for the guys scheduled toward the end who can delay most of their round until tomorrow?

I think it’s great for guys in the morning wave because they probably won’t have to play at all tomorrow whereas the other guys have to play 36 in one day. It’s the best scenario for Tiger. He’d never make it 36 tomorrow with that back.

What about the course itself? How will the course play initially after it opens up? Will it get easier later or easier earlier? Honest question, I don't know this stuff well.

I would think for most of these guys playing 27 or 36 holes in a day is no biggie.

Well, they're actually getting back out there pretty fast. I didn't think they'd re-start til around noon or 1, but they're already back out. So that means the afternoon guys today may get a lot of holes in.

As for who it favors, I think it's going to play fairly easy and the same for everyone. No winds are forecast and the course is really soft right now and should stay that way until Saturday or Sunday. I would think guys teeing off now should get off to a good start.

I do think the big hitters and better ball strikers, though, have the advantage in longer, softer conditions. That means Rory, DJ, Bryson. If you look at all of Rory's majors, they came in wet conditions.

Solid start from Bryson. Made a heck of a scrambling par on 11. If he gets through 12 at Even, he is eyeing three par-5s which he should be able to destroy in the matter of 7 holes.

lol Mize, Couples, and Langer are ageless at Augusta. They're always on the leaderboard no matter how old they are. I think you're going to see Tiger and Phil have the same success in their 50s assuming they don't try and change Augusta and make it 8,000 yards to counter Bryson's power.

Prediction of the day...we'll see a 63..."maybe" 62. Hell, even Spieth is under par. Course looks super soft and easy today. Any round in the 70s won't be good.
