After watching a replay of that match I think I'm done betting Challengers for good. The obvious issues fixing and tanking aside it's literally a Mickey Mouse tournament with no ballboys with the players fetching the balls on the court. As you can see sometimes they don't even feel like it and just play with a loose ball on the court!

He was definitely trying to win just too fukkin erratic as usual. He even said prior that winning this tourny puts him back in the top 10.

in that case I guess losing to rodionov in vienna was the clue. if he's acting like winning this tourney was so important with its 250 pts, winning vienna would have given him 500 pts. I wonder what he was saying in interviews before that tourney

That's a good point. He's someone I'm gonna try to avoid betting on at all costs considering he always throws in a stinker when I bet on him. Kind of ridiculous how much goodwill he gets considering he almost blinded that chair ump in that Davis cup match. People love bashing Berrettini & Sock for being the worst active players to make the top 10 but at least they accomplished something unlike El Shapo with his 1 250 title.
