he's had a way more weird teenage basketball and life development of any American Teen we've ever seen. Zero testing at college, now having do deal with all the weird unprecedented Covid shit leading up to draft workouts, draft ect.
who knows where the hell his head is, with being the younger brother of Lonzo and the son of Laloudmouth
it could go either way, or could just be a bit of a rough patch or slow start and he'll take some time to develop
no way to call it, but his intangibles likely will play a big part in his early transition and I doubt teams really want to take a chance on a head case or spoiled prima donna right now

This is true of most NBA and NFL players.

what is ironic is the thuggish "life style" they portray is all a fraud. Most of the NBA and NFL guys have been gifted since they were in HS and middle school and its been an easy road for them. Floating by in school, never having to work a real job, never having to worry about paying bills. Some of their parents experienced the struggle, but that wasn't a burden these players had on their own shoulders. They were in private schools and living on the easier road.

Marco, I think you nailed it. The mental makeup of these kids is weak. Just like most of them. There are few rags to riches NBA or NFL stories anymore. These guys are hyped early, given a lot, etc... have rats and hype men around them their entire lives. I have been to many alumni events with my university that has recruited kids or prospects and some of them lack total awareness because everyone has been kissing their asses forever. There is no drive when you have it all. It’s why wealth doesn’t make it multiple generations.

I’m not hating... I think he will be drafted, play solid and make a shit ton of money but I think that’s the game today. I think it’s more about everything else beyond being great. Only a few guys want to be great in the league now. Most are front runners looking to win easy. I don’t see any killers in this draft. Then again, I’m not a scout.

Looks like a bust, not physical enough, might be injury prone. Also wasn't he shooting 30% from the field or something in Australia? and you expect him to do better in the NBA?

I think it would be all about the fit. It kinda sucks that a lot of good players have to start out with a crappy team.
Minnesota would be a horrible place for him. You put Rondo with them and nothing would happen / put Rondo with the Lakers and he helped them.
I know the money is good for being drafted high but he would be so much better off to go to a good team and learn how to win!

extremely immature and socially awkward, no focus, always goofing off, terrible shot mechanics, plays no defense, beyond soft mentally. i'm shocked he's even being drafted, he's at best a long-term project in the G-League. i wouldn't draft him at all if i were a GM

You are right. Fit, culture and coaching. The guy is 19.
True for the poor shits in football too. If Jets have #1 pick, Trevor Lawrence goes back to school. Unless he pulls an Eli Manning stunt.

Most young black college basketball players have trouble speaking the English language these days. It's like all they did in high school was play basketball and forgot to read a book.
Nothing new to see with some of the BALL brothers if true..

he'll be considered a bust if he's drafted by all teams but the Warriors, which seems unlikely they'd keep him imho
