I think this has much more to do with the QB being out or not being out and having to get prepared on a short week of practice. A lot of motivation here for Wisconsin to dump the game. You could not dump the game in other years. You have to play it.

They really do not want to play this game. If the QB is postive and they hold up for 21 days, we will know otherwise.

You dumb ignorant idiot. If Biden gets "re-elected"? When was he ever elected to begin with? Go crawl under a bus you fool.

He was a vice president for 8 years you fool. You think Obama made any decision without Biden's backing?

What are you talking about - they're not "bailing" on the game! Even with a 4th stringer, they would beat Nebraska as usual. They are following the conference guidelines - When you get an outbreak of COVID, and this won't be the first Big 10 outbreak, you have to pause team activities. 6 players and 6 staff members including the Head Coach have it. I don't think the conference would be too excited about a team with 12 Covid positives in their system taking the field. Not Wisky's call obviously!

So they scrapped plans for public health measures but sent their team to play in a conference with outlined and very strict rules regarding COVID.

With no bubble it sounds like the state government, particularly the legislature, set the team up to fail or at least to cancel some games.

It's a problem with no central leadership and the political weaponization of the Kung Flu. They aren't working together.

All of Evers "health measures" have gone through: Mandatory masks, 25% restaurant capacity, Limits on gatherings, etc. No Republican pushback on those, all in place. There were a lot of areas in the state where people simply refused to follow them, next thing you know we're leading the US. Really no direct blame for Evers or the Legislature in this one.

I was referring to those that were caught up in and shot down by the courts, including the also political state Surpreme court, like the "safer at home" shutdowns.

Despite overhwelming citizens support the legislature also tried to block the mask mandate, it sound like the courts sided with the governor there. Also sounds like measures are now being put in place, hopefully that translate to lower numbers and less panic.

It's true, there are many other reasons that contribute to the rise in cases, but it's pretty clear where the pandemic was politically weaponized, like Florida, Texas, and Wisconsin, we see cases, and we see football shut downs.

Obviously there's more to it, but politics has played in issue in Wisconsin, especially over the summer. I'm sure what looks like a second wave is the first in many parts of the country as well, like rural Wisconsin.

Let's hope Big 10 football and their rules don't result in all kinds of failed season hopes and expectations.

I hope the didn't set themselves up to fail as we enter the winter.
