It had to be something about third time through the order or something. That seems to get talked about a lot. I can’t imagine what else would have possibly compelled him to pull Snell before Betts and put in a shittier pitcher. I mean sometimes you just gotta kick back and let the mf keep cooking. Snell was DEALING. This should have been the manager’s easiest night of the series and now they’re gonna lose the World Series because of one fukking stupid moment. It’s a self imposed Buckner

Same will be said if Roberts pulls Urias in 9th and they collapse.

Cash had to make move there and make bettis face a lefty with the series on the line going into the 9th, that was pure laziness managment from kevin cash

fitting for Willy to be final out strike out on 3 pitches.

I actually think it was even worse that he left Fairbanks in to face Betts. Fairbanks was struggling inning before and Betts hits his type frequently. Loupe would have been better. Or he should've called on the Sheriff to cuff him up. Or McClanahan.

I have no idea why he left Fairbanks in there. He's pitched enough as it was already at around 30 pitches. McClanahan barely pitches this series.

Betts doesn't hit lefties as well either. Not in playoffs anyway.

only after 73 pitches? that was bad, TB could have won 1-0 if they made good decision on pitching changes.

I couldn't agree more. I respected this manager for getting this squad there and being competitive when clearly outmatched, but this game he really blew it. Sheriff, Loupe, McClanahan all could've faced Betts.

And one lazy single with the top of the order that Snell pitched well against and certainly at least leave him in for Betts and Seager (lefty lefty). I think he should've had a chance to finish that inning then get pulled.

That was EXACTLY the type of move that we Dodgers fans have been seeing from Dave Roberts for the past four postseasons. About damn time it worked in our favor for once.

i would consider firing him too. i know the players like him and such but that move is so atrocious and absolutely idiotic that i am not sure how the players take him seriously now.
