Does this mean I win if he gets a hit, or even if he is walked one time?

So to get over 1.5 bases - it was offered for almost triple the payout earlier - he would have to get at least two singles or one extra base hit?
One single and one stolen base not enough for 'over 1.5 bases'?

correct 2 singles or an extra base hit would get you over 1.5
and correct stolen bases also don't count as bases.

can't imagine a more confusing bet, thanks for clarifying that Chi.
So you're saying a walk doesn't count, but what if they advance bases on someone else's hit or walk?

Total bases is just a stat they use to figure slugging %
So it only factors in hitting to show how much "extra base" power a player has. So it's a term that is thrown around a lot in baseball jargon for non gamblers as well quite a bit.
It would be confusing for someone not familiar with baseball stats and terminology, I get that.
