But Friday's news upends everything, possibly including Sunday's home game against the Bengals. The first course of action is re-testing everyone, a process that is already underway, according to a team official. The possibility of false positives always exists, so the team and the NFL want to rule it out.

If the positive tests are confirmed, it seems unlikely the Colts could play Sunday's game at Lucas Oil Stadium. Unlike situations that involve a single positive test — allowing that individual to be quickly isolated and, thus, lowering the risk of infection of others — the Colts' situation could be more widespread. The team will certainly be worried about additional positive tests in the coming days because incubation periods for COVID-19 can vary. The team is not expected to make any public statements for the time being while it works to assess the situation.
