It looks like the Braves are starting 22-year old RHP rookie Ian Anderson (unrelated to the Jethro Tull frontman)
who has pitched a grand total of 32 innings in a major league uniform. Tonight, he will throw his first pitch in front of
a public audience, as over 11 thousand fans are expected to attend the game.
Although the rookie has performed quite well, logging a 3-2 record as a starter, with a 1.95 ERA
and a 1.08 WHIP, 41 KO, and an average pitch count of 96 -- one cannot help but wonder how long
a leash the youngster will be on, given this is Game 2 in the NLCS, and the Braves' bats could be quieted
by the veteran start Clayton Kershaw, starting for Los Angeles.
The Dodgers (5.82 r/g), and the Braves (5.8 r/g) are the two highest-scoring clubs in baseball for the abbreviated 2020 season.
Late in the season, Kershaw became the winningest lefty in MLB history. He carries a 6-2 record, 2.16 ERA and .84 WHIP
for the regular season, and is 2-0 as a starter in the postseason, allowing 9 hits in 14 innings and 3 runs vs. the Brewers
and Padres.
Atlanta leads the series, 1-0. Both the ALCS and NLCS, and World Series, are being played in neutral locations for the
first time in MLB history. 11,500 fans will be allowed at tonight's game in Arlington, Texas. These championship series
mark the first time this year fans have been admitted into the games.
Snowball's pick: Dodgers, -160 > -170

What gives me pause is Kershaw's Playoff tendencies. Like I told sammy, if I play it'll be LAD, but it'll be half a unit

bookmaker/betonline are action only, and no line change under the 2020 rules (in the past it would've been adjusted down)
sucks pretty bad for anyone holding dodgers -170 tickets
