Yes sir. I live in Vegas but am from Detroit. It’s a nice spot down there. It’s been an anchor downtown even through the tough times. Definitely feels rough walking to it but Detroit is pretty safe overall. The criminals are preoccupied with other crimes since the PD is usually in on the take. Just don’t park in an unmarked lot and hand a $50 to a homeless guy for the parking spot like my buddy did. Car stripped and stolen! Ha!
Great casino, hotel, restaurants and area. Fishbone’s restaurant is outstanding. Lots of ass down there on the weekend. Haven’t been there since legalized sports betting but should be solid. You also have Motor City Casino and MGM Detroit right around the corner. BetMGM will be there and not sure who is going into Motor City Casino. Greektown has had a lot of ownership changes. Penn the latest. Fun spot.

Detroit is a great city. Fun place. Worth a visit for a game, casino trip and some great food. Has lots of history. The Motor City was the engine of the middle class for decades. General Motors, Ford and Chrysler mattered at one time.
More likely to get killed in Chicago but people jerk that place off for whatever reason. Suburbs great in Detroit too. Go to Ann Arbor, Royal Oak, Grosse Pointe, etc... Great places. Never felt unsafe in Detroit one time and grew up there and been there since a million times. It has a ways to go but lots of investment there by Dan Gilbert, Rock Holdings, Illitch Family, etc... Detroit can be fun but like ANY city in America... don’t wander your ass into the unknown. I know where you can get jacked in Scottsdale if you get caught slipping. Hell, I found blow in Omaha, Nebraska.
Windsor is a dump. Since 9/11 and all the casinos going into Detroit, Windsor has struggled. I would know, I used to go to Windsor a lot when I was younger. Not the same place. 9/11 wiped out the desire for people to travel over the bridge with new requirements. Just go to Niagara Falls if you want to gamble in Canada.Comment -
