You really don't think wind is making a difference? 3 homers result from the wind. Hendricks and Alcantara were just pitching lights out. Wouldn't surprise me if this game still goes over 8.5

Those were just well hit wind had nothign to do with it, it was going to clear the fence regardless. Wind alone doesnt' do much. You need humidity, if you don't have the altitude. This has already been proven over and over again scientifically that just a stead 20 MPH wind with no humidity and with cold weather the ball doesn't travel much. Altitude is the most driven factor that helps the ball carry. Then it's air density. Then it's wind speed. Wind speed is the LEAST important factor that helps carry the ball. If anything when the ball is blowing "OUT" to the outfield, it's not the ball being carried that helps the hitter. It's the speed of the ball that's being slowed down. There are 2 speed from the pitcher. The release velocity and the velocity when it reaches the catcher. When the wind is blowing out, the exit velocity from the pitcher slows down by the time it gets to the catcher, it gives hitters ever so slight edge to get a better swing on a fast ball.

Yes, air density, humidity, temperature make differences but wind also makes a big difference.
