Been gone since March 11th, and I missed SBR terribly!
Stubbed my big toe on my left foot back in February and this where the STUPIDITY comes in....I didn't have myshoes on only my socks!! Having DIABETES for 41 years I know better but was in a hurry to get to my home ofc computers to place my bets! The toe started to get red that night by 3 days it looked ANGRY ( all red & yellow gook draining ) Ended up in the hospital for 9 days while a Vascular Surgeon team worked get artery to carry blood to my toe to heal it. It works for 2 weeks till the cadaver artery collapsed.
Looooooong story short they had to amputate my left leg 5" above the ankle!! I spent 14 days in the hospital & 19 days in rehab teaching me to walk again. I was gone from my home, my bed, my cat (HANK) FOR 33 DAYS!!! NO VISITORS ALLOWED @ THE HOSPITAL!! That tested me mentally....BAD!
They transferred me to Eastside Rehab center in Snellville GA. EXCELLENT operation!! Everyone was as nice to me as I could ever expect. The food was always GOOD n HOT!! BIGGESST PLUS was I COULD HAVE A VISITOR FROM 6AM TO 8PM!!! My wife & daughters took turns coming to see me!!!
PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT FEEL SORRY FOR ME! like I said Diabetes & stupidity should NEVER be possessed at the same time. PLUS my prosthetic leg will be designed hopefully in 2 weeks, then back to outpatient to learn more walking.
