Are there any sportbooks or casinos between Phoenix and Palm Springs?

Asking for a friend who will be visiting that part of the country soon.

I don't think they have sportsbooks, at least not in California. In the Phoenix area, I believe the big casino is called Gila River. Then in suburb of Scottsdale is Fort McDowell.

Maybe anyone local to those areas can confirm.

Sports books? No. Casinos yes. Tons. Talking stick in Phoenix is nice and the palm springs area Indian casinos are all nice.

How the fukk would there be any sportsbook in the area if sportsbook aren't legal in CA or AZ? Closest legal to that area is NV and NM. AZ must be a fukked up state cause idk why sports isn't legal there. It's not a backwoods bible belt state like TX or GA. Some states are so fukked up they don't even allow regular casinos with slot machines and blackjack. That shits crazy. It's 2020 not 1920.

How are the Palm Springs casinos? I haven’t been to any since I moved to LA right before the pandemic. I hear good times commercials for morongo casino every time I’m in the car. Where do LA guys go? When I lived in Zona I would stick to talking stick. Great spot

Laughlin, NV would be the closest. There is a Harrah's with a decent book as you come into town. Then there is a mini-strip with a few casinos that have books. Kind of a poor man's Vegas.

Also, really cool views of Colorado river and you can take boat rides and stuff.
