Dropped the easiest game winner ever. Holy moly. Literally that like a handoff. Doesn't get any easier.

He was in the endzone. He choked. He will never live that down.

Fukk the Lions bunch of scrubs.
Can't blame the rookie. That INT killed Detroit. Besides, they wouldn't have covered -2.5 even if they scored a TD at the end. They weren't gonna kick the extra point.

That really isn't why they lost though, the dropped pass is just one more reason why they didn't win.

Can't blame the rookie for dropping the easiest catch he'll ever see?

If he caught it (and he should have 100% of the time), they would have won. Period.

Same here. Knocked me out last year letting Arizona with a rookie QB come back and tie them. Just a complete clusterfuk. Chargers and Lions are the absolutely worse teams to figure out every single year.

Might be time for Patricia to hand up his whistle and re-join NASA. No excuse for giving up that lead.

He did the same thing last year in week 1 with Arizona last year. There is a haunting curse over that franchise. Mitchell Trubinsky won't have another comeback like that all season.

Umm, yeah.
But not only was it not the only play of the game, but the game didn't even come down to that play. There was another play after it.

I lost every single NFL bet I made today and the only one that had a chance or looked good were the Lions. Being a Detroiter, I knew when Chicago cut it to 3 I was toast. No money left to hedge it out.
This is the story of the Lions since the 50's. They find every way to lose and always will. Different year, new players, new draft picks, new this, new that.....same suckers. I can't believe they had that many fans there too. It's hilarious that people still go to their games.
This game today, even though I lost my arse, was the most comical Lions moment of all time. I mean its actually hilarious.
It was still the right picks concerning odds and all even though it lost.

Yes, but if he catches it the Bears have 6 seconds to score. I'd call that about a 0.2% chance. So if he catches it, the Lions have a 99.8% chance to win.
But if you ant to look elsewhere, Patricia's call to attempt a 55 yarder up 10 with about 4 minutes to go would be a good start. Gave the Bears the ball at the 45 instead of around the 10. 10 to 13 isn't even that big a difference to take that risk in that spot.

I got my nuts kicked in today and that Lions loss just made it total devastation. Swift dropping that pass was a nice start to his Lions career. That's the way they have to start out to make sure they are losers. So, instead of being mad, he should get dinner bought for him after the game. Maybe a rolex or two as well.
That was how they gave Patty a happy B-day. It's sort of losing is winning for them. So, when they lost, Patricia was elated inside. He just can't say it or smile.
