Padres get Moreland; also trade for Angels' Castro

The Padres, looking to end their playoff drought, on Sunday acquired veteran first baseman Mitch Moreland from the Red Sox for two minor league prospects. San Diego also traded for veteran Angels catcher Jason Castro, sources confirmed to ESPN.

Sox are in an obvious youth movement.
They know the score, the Yanks are too loaded and the Rays are a more complete team.

Now is the right time for Boston to look three years down the road.
