I hate to break it to you guys but you are in the minority on this. The NHL, NFL and MLB all have come out on this as well. You can not justify shooting someone in the back 7 times. You just can’t. Even if you make up lies that he was reaching for a knife. Even if you try to make him out to be a sexual predator when no one knows the real story On that. Their is zero justification for shooting an animal in the back 7 times. That is nothing more than a bitch move. We know the perp was an idiot but that does not mean a cop should be even more foolish. The leagues are just large corporations looking to protect their image. Once the NBA moved on it, all the others predictably followed suit. It proves nothing in regards to minority/majority opinions on the matter. If you're a player who refuses to go with the tide, you will be blackballed, plain and simple. Urlacher can freely express his opinion without repercussions because he's no longer employed by the NFL.

They just showed a poll that said 64% disagree with the NBAs decision to boycott and ratings also paint the picture with how much people have lost respect with the players. So not sure I would say were in the minority.

It was incredibly dumb, but the cop jumped the gun by not waiting to see what he was doing. I mean, he was slow.
So he could have shot him in the legs. The cops in these shootings are way too trigger happy. Like in Atlanta..
the guy was running away. He didn't even have a gun, just a taser and then kept running.
So do we know he was going for a knife, was it right there on the car seat ? seven times... these cops are not confident
in their abilities at all.

The problem is that you can't wait to see what the guy is going to do after just fighting with you and resisting arrest. Not to mention that the cops knew everything about him and his felony warrant as the girlfriend is the one who called the cops on him.

Is 7 shots too many? Maybe. But would 1 shot to the back of the head resulting in death also too much?

If the guy was allowed to go to his car and grab a gun and shoot at the cops, then people would be questioning why the cops let him get into his vehicle and not take him out.

Wrong again. I’ve not once condoned or advocated for Blake. It has nothing to do with him. A poorly trained cop or bad cop is just bad. The guy should have never been allowed to go to his car. He was walking to his car slowly and calmly. If you couldn’t subdue him the first time, back up and wait for help. If you think he was going for a weapon, position yourself behind the driver side window. You then have the advantage to take him down. Small people who can’t subdue perps shouldn’t be police officers. Including some women. There should be an agility and strength test if you’re serving the streets. When you can’t apprehend a suspect effectively, you put everyone’s life in jeopardy.
