    San Francisco Giants pitching sucks
3 pitchers giving up a total of 9 runs in the 5th inning.

    Kapler sucks. Lol

My books not offering them most likely due to the short season but nobody taking 2H bets this year? Haven’t seen anyone posting them

My favorite team stat is the one all the way to the right.
            The WAR column.
-0.9 is brutal, about a bad as it gets.

Hey, the Red Sox pitching is almost as bad.

                What's the old adage?
What have you done for me lately?

One of the greatest baseball managers off all time Bruce Bochy saw the writing on the wall and retired.
                Can't say I blame him.

He won those titles with pitching and you know why he won?
Because he was a former catcher.
                Catcher's know.

But pitching always win, always has and always will.

I'm writing a baseball book (for real) and if anyone wants to sit down and talk about pitching count me in.

Kapler is a meat head. Hopefully he screws up enough that they ditch his ass after this season.

Giants were close in 2002. Bonds, Kent, Snow, and Santiago could of had a ring.

Yep, got beat my yet another team (Angels) with very good pitching, mediocre hitting, and managed by another former big league catcher.

Funny how that keeps working out.

Angel's had a good offense: Glaus, Spiezio, Salmon, Erstad, Eickstein.

Glaus and Garrett Anderson did most of the heavy lifting in 2002 for the Angels.
Glaus hit 30 homers and drove in 111 runs
Garrett Anderson hit 29 homers and drove in 123 runs.

That Angels team was one of the most balanced teams I can remember.

This is what I meant by their pitching.
The top three starters made each and every starts (32)
The top three starters each won 14 plus games.
Yet the common baseball fan can't name one of them.
The Angel pitching staff was top 2 in most every pitching category.

On offense they did not have a Bonds, or a Griffey, or a Sosa, or an A-Rod...
But all of them were good at multiple things.

                                  Same as their pitching staff.
They didn't have a Pedro, or a Clemens, or a Randy Johnson either.

The Angels best player that season very well may have been Troy Percival who saved 40 games but gets over looked by Johm Smoltz and hist 55 saves but Percival was automatic that season.

Here's the pitching staff that nobody remembers.

He takes Webb out who was doing pretty well, but 84 pitches in the 5th. A guy gets on...pitching change, 2 run homer on the 1st pitch and then the runs came flowing.

                                            The WAR column.
-0.9 is brutal, about a bad as it gets.

Hey, the Red Sox pitching is almost as bad.
How does WAR work for teams? is it the total for all the players?

They need to replace him with a Tony Pena type.

Wins Above Replacement (WAR) is an attempt by the sabermetric baseball community to summarize a player’s total contributions to their team in one statistic. You should always use more than one metric…

I was analysing the 2003 season.
The Marlins got hot at the right time, they beat the Giants, Cubs, and Yankees in post season to win it all.
I think SF was the best team in the NL in 2003.

This was not a great pitching staff that did win it all.
