I think Portland takes atleast 2. They are a tough out for anyone and LA hasn’t looked unbeatable by any means in the bubble.

mavs are getting between 4 and 5 to 1 against the clippers
5/1 seems awfully low for the 8 seed really though

Lakers -450 is what I think, the format favors younger teams like Portland with a lot of games in a short period of time.

8-1 is to me too high, it’s a tough format for an older player like Lebron with only one day off between games and Anthony Davis has had injury issues too. Lakers know this why Vogel complained about the format.

Yeah, plus portland is not a typical 8 seed. The names James, Lakers, Los Angeles hold a lot of weight though, so I thought it would be put high.

There was a series where Memphis was about a 4-1 dog as the 8 seed and beat San Antonio in 6 games.
Golden State beat Dallas but that was really high, like over 10-1 from my memory

I remember that series, Spurs had a lot of injuries to players like Ginobli but Memphis was clearly the better team and Spurs were favored in nearly every game, that Memphis team was almost always undervalued, I hit 12 straight bets in them in the playoffs against the spread once.

Yeah Nurkic has changed the offense a lot with his passing.

Were the Spurs injury riddled during that series?? I only remember Memphis getting rolled in the conference Finals that year.

This is off the subject but I have a theory for the first 2 rounds:
Even though the better team had home court advantage for the series, I thought being at home was important for a lot of the lower seeds. They could say "if we can split" and then go home. At any rate, they go home down 2-0 and catch the better team sleeping and win game 3 to get back in the series. I can see teams going down 2-0 and not getting that rush of going back home, so I would expect quite a few sweeps the first 2 rounds.

Remember the old Lakers/Kings game 6?
Is this the type of series that NBA brass has to ensure the Lakers advance?
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

This Portland team is about as good as the Boston team with Isiah Thomas Lebron okayed in the conference finals, should be a good series.

Lebron will have to be careful about blaming his team if he plays badly, Davis hasn’t resigned yet.

Portland is probably the 6th best team in the league right now, not a normal 8th seed.

They aren’t 80 years old, this is a young team and they looked fine today. Lebron is much older than lillard and McCollum.

-one million. Are you guys crazy? This is the NBA. Warriors Mavs happening again is as likely as UMBC UVA happening again, probably less. Blaze give up 130 and fight for life to beat Griz and Nets.

No. The Blazers have no defenders at all any any position. Lillard, McCollum, Melo, Nurkic -- zero defense from their stars.
Lebron and Davis will combine for 65 every game.

Portland’s defense is weak but the Lakers offense is garbage right now, Lebron can’t shoot, thebLakers aren’t that hard to defend, and Portland has a big team with nurkic and white side to limit Lebron from dominating the paint.

Right now? Lakers aren't even trying bro.
You knee jerk react too much.
Nurkic and Whiteside will both be in foul trouble every game.
Lebron will have one of the best series' of his career here. Watch.
