It’s really not that difficult he’s a known losing gambler who thinks he’s a winner. Best combination fade on any forum ...Comment -

#38This article puts the chance of losing at 53.64% (not counting pushes), using basic strategy: https://wizardofodds.com/ask-the-wiz...k/probability/. That would make losing 13 in a row is a 1 in 3,286 event. But that's only if someone plays only 13 hands. If they play just 100 hands, the chance of losing 13 in a row is 2.6%; at 1,000 hands, the probability increases to 22%. How many hands does a dealer deal in a typical day?Originally posted by KVBThat is a loaded post range to say it's not uncommon and the any dealer sees it as dealers see many hands.
But they do not see it all the time.
Let's put strategy aside, because I could lose 100 hands in a row if I played to bust, and just assume the solid basic strategy.
Even then we can't really calculate this as there are different rules, etc.
So let's say each hand overall were 50-50, then you're looking at .0012 percent of the time.
With a 51% chance of losing you are looking at .00158 percent.
That's like 1 out of more that 6300 tries and that does get better as your overall odds of losing a single hand go higher, which they most certainly are.
Put it a 52% losing and you are looking at 1 in almost 5000 tries.

#39I had the probability at more like 52.6% but of course it varies.Originally posted by TommieGunshotThis article puts the chance of losing at 53.64% (not counting pushes), using basic strategy: https://wizardofodds.com/ask-the-wiz...k/probability/. The real question is how many hands does a player play in a typical day? I'm assuming the dealer would have to see a single person lose 13 in a row, and I wasn't even counting pushes that get mingled in there.
Once you canount for pushes, it's no easy feat that's for sure.Comment -

#40There were two pushes at 20 so not 13 lost in a row.Comment -

#41Still, take the pushes out. 13 is quite the run, win or lose.
Well even more impressive when you win.
