the penguins were just bounced 3 games to 1 by the same montreal team you now mock. the caps are down 0-3 to the islanders. the blues are down 1-2 to the canucks (fortunate it's not 0-3.) the avs and lightning have the same, non dominating 2-1 lead as the flyers.
give it a rest, you're looking foolish. anyone with common sense will tell you all that matters is the win. whoever takes the cup.. no one is going to give a flying fuk about close wins, blown chances or mediocre play that they went through before that.Comment -

Flyers are legit. Montreal is a lot better than the credit they are getting. And they shut them down the whole 3rd for the most part. I like their style of play but certainly concerned about power play lacking. Wouldn't write off the Blues making it back either. Boston is still good even without Raask but it might get them eventually.Comment -

The east is pretty tight no doubt. Montreal has speed and are healthy plus they have the best goalie in the league. The flyers pp is off right now and the top guys are not producing but they are still up 2-1. Everyone is scraping by in the east. TB is lucky to be up 2-1. Isles while up 3-0 are facing a caps team that is on the downswing.
Canes are not doing good vs an overrated Boston team ( who you think is good). The flyers will wipe Boston's ass if they met. Good teams build and having a tough first round series is good. Remember how the caps were down 2-0 to cbj the year they won the cup?

i don't care how many shots both of those teams are generating. stats alone don't win games. i guess we can go back and call lyon "scrubs" or something because of the numbers man city put up against them saturday. i have a feeling lyon will take the W instead.
there's really no counterargument for people who are foolish enough to believe the way a team plays one series is indicative of how they will play in all their future series'.Comment -

Look, I respect your opinion and I could be wrong. But there were people saying the Oilers were the lock of the century and they lost their series. These flashy teams aren't built for a playoff run.
In playoffs, depth and playing playoff hockey matter. Philly simply doesn't match up to teams like the Knights, Avs, Bruins or Lightning.
And I will add that I always pick against lightning. However, this year they have a more gritty team and better chance of winning the cup.Comment -

#59Your takes on the flyers have been trash and saying Price is the best goalie in the NHL makes you sound like a fool, he had a horrible year. #62No i think my prediction is solid. Tampa our of the East. I know my west prediction is a little outside the box but the west has a lot of holes. Fleury is back to regressing like he did in Pittsburgh after he established himself. Lehner is unproven. Vancouver is too young. Stl won’t hit the magic they had last year. Yotes are not going to the finals, along with the weak defensive stars. Calgary gets too many penalties. That leaves the avs and Blackhawks. If the Blackhawks beat Vegas there’s no one stopping that momentum to the finals.Originally posted by lakerboyWere you drinking last night?
