    Lakers/Bucks Future..$5560 to win 17K..(hedge or not?)
    [IMG][/IMG]
I still like the Bucks but got no faith in the Lakers even though I know they're mailing in the rest of these games. Only other reasonable option is to deposit my remaining 5K in the bank & take a Bucks/Clippers future at +349(5k to win $17,450). Obviously if the 1st bet wins I'm gonna feel like an idiot for wasting 5K but if it doesn't at least I have a reasonable chance of having over 22K in my account instead of 0 assuming of course the Bucks get in which obviously isn't a lock. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hedge by fading them in their series? I find it hard to believe the Lakers can beat a healthy Clippers team

Not a bad idea but this bet only makes sense at +350 odds & there's no way they would be that high against the Lakers so it would have to be a MIL/LAC Future or let the 1st bet ride.

Would you fade them in their early round series also?

Don't throw good money after bad.

If you see a +EV bet on some other team than grab it, but betting out of fear of losing is a -EV move.

You can't reasonably hedge this early. This is barely a real nba season, I liked the bucks in the east before corona but who knows what'll happen. Wait until the conference finals for any hedges so you can guarantee money.

Sounds reasonable but I can't imagine getting a better price than +350 if I wait till then. If it's a LAL/ LAC CF at least I'm guaranteed of one team in the Finals.

Appreciate the honesty but I got way more faith in the bucks than the lakers so I can't see myself doing that.

Seems like hedging opportunities might come in games where the series is on the line or could be decided.

There might be little value in that but then again since those hedges would be directly against the Lakers or Bucks, they'd probably be underdog hedge bets.

Then again, again, if it's Lakers vs. Clip in a deciding game, with no obvious home court, the line could be close.

But still a sell back situation.

Here's the thing the goal is to get my balance to pretty much exactly 22,500 cuz the 5dimes Max payouts are 9500 wire and 3000 cashiers check which would leave me with exactly 10K in my account to bet with. So I would rather lock that amount in right now instead of hedging each series by just taking MIL/LAC +349(5K to win 17-450=22,450) since my LAL/MIL future would put my bal. at 22,630.

Lakers have zero shot too soft

James and Davis queers and soft

I think the Bucks might not get out of the East. Look out for either Toronto or Boston to give them all they can handle and possibly send them home.

I get that but if the goal is to get a +350 hedge based on my above balance requirement reasoning how exactly would that work out if I wait to the CFs if its MIL/ TOR & both LA teams?
