JJ, I pray because it’s the right thing to do. I pray before anything I do. I’m not praying for a “win”. I’m praying to bow down to baby Jesus and I’m praying for the athletes to be safe. I feel it’s my duty to pray before my wagers.

Just curious, what religion is it that you plan on preaching after you are "ordained"?

I don't think God is going to move the game past the spread because of prayer. I do think praying is important if your genuine though. The reason for a prayer might be flawed but acknowledging that God exists goes a long way. In the end God will know the person you are and your not expected to be perfect.

I have seen a quite a few threads about God, prayer and religion during my time @ SBR and this, I believe, is by far the best - and most theologically correct from a few different perspectives.

I strongly believe in the power of prayer.
I haven't prayed on the outcome of a sporting event since grade school.

However, I may be fooling myself, I'm not sure.
Yesterday, I had Shakhtar /Wolfsburg over 2.5 for a very sizable wager. I really thought it would be a breakout match.

Everytime that I check the score it's 0-0...0-0...0-0.
After 80 minutes I'm totally resigned to a loss.

I'm not aware of any subconscious beckoning or plantive queries heavenward on my part, but it had to be divine intervention when Shakhtar scored at 89', 91' AND1 93'
to win THREE to Z-ZERO.

I have no idea bout China but Vietnam certainly does have an extradition policy. The two countries are very close and do a lot of business with each other. I have a good friend who is Interpool in Vietnam and he goes and forth to America dealing with extradition and criminals fleeing from America coming here. I am just a strong believe in Christ, he has done so much for me in my life. May Christ bless all of your plays today!

JJ, I am in the last phase of my training. I have roughly 13 months left. I am going to be a "Transitional Deacon"
I mainly focus on Vietnam. I just passed my level 4 certificate for Vietnamese language. I give most of my sermons in Vietnamese. I understand that Deaconism is different and varies from Country to Country. I do welcome you and I offer to take you under my wing. I can change your life. I think I have already changed your life just in the last 3 months from our services we have had.
