#5The ACC will play the same number of conference games (10) as the Big 10, Pac 12, and SEC. With the four interstate non-con games ow definitely cancelled, do not be surprised to see them go to a 10 game conference only schedule. The Big 12 is, as usual, all screwed up. They cannot go to a 10 game conference only schedule unless they play a team TWICE. The best they can do is a 9 game conference only schedule or 9 game conference + 1 non-con schedule. The ONLY Power 5 team that they could schedule as the one non-con opponent is BYU. All of the other Power 5 Teams are in Conferences.Comment -

#7College football will take a huge plunge without fans. College football is all about running on the field to the cheering, having the band play, etc. it’s what I love about the college game.Comment -

#8It’s not really news. The Power 5 conferences are basically canceling 2 out of conference games (but playing 10 conf games). The OOC games being cut will end being cupcake opponents that these power 5 teams pay to play. You can’t make your $$$$ back from paying a cupcake without fans in the stands, so the big conferences would rather cancel the games altogether.
This really hurts the small schools only like Charleston Southern who will gladly get beat 61-0 in exchange for a big paycheck.
What you’ll see this Fall is major college teams playing 10 game schedules against each other. The small schools and conferences may not play at all if they won’t allow fans. They don’t have the TV contracts to make it worthwhileComment -

#9I don't know. TV might consider picking up some of their games mid-week for a lot less than the power schools but still a good amount for the smaller schools.
That would be a win-win for both.Comment -

#11CFB ain't playing no time soon. This is just a smokescreen. NFL will probably play a few games but they won't last an entire season without a bubble.Comment -
