Anyone Having Bitcoin Issues Today?

I know fees are ridiculously high right now so the network must be busy. Been high the past few days. Coinbase requires 8 confirmations don’t they? Something high.

From the sound of their email response, yes.

Been pending on their end for hours.

I always have bad experiences with Coinbase & need to move on.

Electrum to Coinbase to PayPal to my bank in less than a hour I always pay the max fee to speed things up

I’ll add for whatever it’s worth yesterday electrum was saying unconfined parent from early in the morning till I went to bed last night, but it was in wallet when I woke up this morning

I’ve never experienced a big delay before via Bitcoin sending or receiving (knock on e-wood) so you know how when you misplace your wallet for hours & hours maybe after a bender or just out of plain carelessness. Is this the equivalent of that potentially losing money virtually ?

There's 42k+ unconfirmed transactions as of this post which is double what I've seen the past couple days. Not a record, but there's a lot of activity today.

Then to book now sayin 6 confirmations needed been an hour with only 1 confirmed

I stopped using coinbase over a year ago. Gemini seems to be a good exchange. Have not had any problems with them.

It may have been delayed by Coinbase themselves, rather than network issues.

Coinbase sucks. I use Bittrex. Never had a problem in 3 years.

Screw Coinbase im officially done with that place.

Seriously.

They have hired a surveillance team of thugs/hackers.

Everyone who's been in the industry longer than 2017 or done significant reading has learned to #DeleteCoinbase.

They are worse than Facebook.

If you're looking for alternatives, here's a few to consider: Kraken. Cash App. Gemini.
