Only mistake I’ve ever made with bitcoin was copying and pasting addresses. Withdrew a large sum from one sportsbook but I pasted a different books send to address that I’d already used. I was able to recover the funds with the sportsbooks help and a 1x rollover on the deposit but I was shitting bricks for a few hours. I highly recommend using an app to scan bitcoin addresses. I’ve made zero mistakes scanning QR codes. I always use an intermediary wallet after I purchase but before I send to a book. I was told to do that in the beginning and stuck with it.

book to wallet to coinbase for withdrawal
coinbase to wallet to book for deposit

I’m not a newbie, I was doing it from coinbase to my coinbase wallet in to sportsbook in the beginning. I figure there is no point in doing that.

There is never an issue going from book to coinbase....

I’ve sent/withdrawn BTC directly to books from both Coinbase and Gemini hundreds of times without a problem.

I used blockchain for a long time before that but got tired of waiting around for confirmations so I got rid of the middleman.

I figure if they ever warn me, I’ll just stop.
