The lawsuit says the team is to blame for Brian Cariota’s injuries because it didn’t install netting to protect the dugout.

He can argue that since the batter knew the pitch from the stolen signs he should have had a hit and not hit a foul ball.

A lawyer can come up with a thousand BS reasons to sue but not having a netting over the dugout?.?.? Come on. How far does a team have to go putting in safety measures before we all realize it is those in attendance who are responsible to be aware of their surroundings.

The next baseball game I attend (someday, when baseball is back to normal), I may sue the team for allowing the fan next to me to spill his beer on me. The team should take precautions to make sure I don't suffer this emotional and physical distress.

They should know that they can sell the beers in sippy cups to avoid these situations.
