He's pretty much a transactional bot. If someone can help him, the person is amazing/great/tremendous etc. If they can't, or question him, they're nasty, low IQ, dumb etc.

Up until recently, masks were 50/50 or below for public support. Now that people are (slowly) coming around to understanding that part of re-opening things is mitigating the spread, support continues to grow.

It's a losing fight for Trump to try and mock those who wear them. The dude is 74 years old, morbidly obese, wears a ton of makeup and brought in the red hat thing in 2015 because he was worried about how his hair would look campaigning. No one (save a few I guess) wants to wear a mask or thinks they look good, but he really gets off on these "Trump as Rocky" or "Trump as Superman" memes etc. The joys of living in an Elvis or Michael Jackson type bubble.

Maybe he's realizing that the mask thing is politically hurting his numbers. Clinton was accused (accurately) of governing by reading the polls.

Having a weather vane with executive order power and nuke's at the ready is not a great scenario at any time, regardless of whose name is on the door.
