This did actually make me chuckle but there are some Ivy League football players that can start on many large D1 teams but go to the Ivy school for an advanced degree is my point.
Rock on fella.

These are the bright jocks. High SAT scores and academic scholarships plus athletic ones for a lot.
These guys don't take basket weaving and ebonics, more like quantum mechanics and physics.
The bright boyz said.........."No F-in' way we play!".....see what the dumb jocks decide.

Notre Dame tested 103 football student-athletes for COVID last week, none tested positive. To date, Notre Dame’s student-athletes & coaches/staff have had 251 negative tests & only 1 positive test

The rest of them will follow. It is amazing that Germany, Italy and England can have soccer games but in the US the MLS has to cancel games because the players keep getting sick. So the problem is not the players. The problem is everyone else is not social distancing or wearing masks which is not a problem in Europe because their leaders believe in science unlike the US.
exactly. these other countries are back with their sports and we are struggling. it says something.

The Ivy League doesn’t give scholarships but like others have said the athletes often get financial help in other ways. Seems like college football is highly unlikely

Brock, remember when the Ivy League pro bettors hit the foot/bask games hard?
70% win rate is possible, when the star player is walking to class on crutches. But no one in the country says a word.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Yeah, but it's one thing to say this on an internet message board but would you say this to the 320 lb. Yale defensive tackle as he's in the middle of turning your face into meatloaf?
This guy doesn't. LOL. He must've been a starter on his Peewee League flag football team.

Very true. I was just indulging in a bit of athletic stereotyping. Rubbed you
the wrong way I guess. Truth is, I admire ANYONE smart enough to attend
an Ivy League school; I'm just a junior college grad.

All good brother !
Actually you didn't rub me the wrong way, I got to "The Game" (Harvard / Yale) when it's played up here in New Haven.
I sit near the 40 yard line, some of those Yale linemen are gigantic.

KU basketball announces new game vs. Stephen F. Austin on Dec. 29. Replaces Harvard, as the Ivy League won't play hoops this season. Will reunite KU hoops with former staffer Kyle Keller, who is Stephen F. Austin's coach.
