They didn't have mega contracts like these back in the day. No agent driving the shit up and no mega TV deals and mega advertising dollars to help fund the interest.

#42That's 39.8 million per in the 12 year contract.
He should pay Andy Reid at least half, for his share of the creation.

#68Offensive lineman better start asking for more money to protect these half a billion dollar QBs
Average Salary
The average salary of an offensive lineman, any position, in the NFL is $1,267,402, according to "Sports Illustrated." The number is derived from the base salaries of the more than 300 offensive linemen in the league.

#70If you are a KC fan, you are in denial if you don`t have at the bare minimum mixed emotions and serious reservations.
Be thrilled you get to watch Mahomes and cheer him on. He is great.
BUT.....the cap is real and hard in the NFL. A QB taking that big a piece of the pie will lead to some dissention as well as a lot less money for the remaining 52 players.
He is also going to get PAID in endorsements, so no matter what there will certainly be some envy in the locker room.
Now, all I really care about is if there is going to be a 2020 season. Not a lock.Comment
