I used to live and work in NYC. Haven’t been back in four years and don’t intend on visiting any time soon and I’m less than an hour away.

The thrill is gone for good.

It is not the # of police on the streets that is the problem.
First, it is the thin blue line that protects the bad apples.
Second, it is the officials who negotiate the union contracts and get their ass handed to them.
