After listening to their BLM thoughts at the end...feel like they are more upset with the song being associated with BLM than it being called the Black National Anthem.

Many Black people never felt the Star Spangled Banner represented them. Which is why they had their own national anthem YEARS before the Star Spangled Banner was made the national anthem by one party. The anthem is very negative and promotes war. America the Beautiful was probably more appropriate.

Hey Tat,

1. Because when they they decided to declare it the Black National Anthem, they didn't feel like America represented them. If blacks Americans were treated like white Americans 100 years ago...there wouldn't be a black national anthem. Its the same thing with HBCUs.

2. Because he was the one who got blackballed by the NFL for bringing up issues they now supposedly support.

The Latinos don't get respresented by the national anthem but they don't ask for their own version. You can change the national anthem for the whole country if this is the best solution but you can't have separate anthems for each group.

Maybe have Taylor Swift, Kanye West and Ariana Grande come up with a new anthem that will not offend any other group.

I saw videos ! It was like a great big FK U to California leaders ! Here in Oklahoma, I have never seen the amount of fireworks set off ! I live in the country outside of town a bit, they were going off everywhere !
