NBA basically the same except Memphis will likely get the last seed instead of Kings or Pelicans.

Why would baseball be any different than any other season when it comes to betting individual games?

What makes you think there won’t be opportunities for solid plays that may not have even been there before? This new for everyone so books flying blind as well.

Baseball gonna be played at home stadiums and I don’t think crowd noise has much of any effect so not sure what so different about it? I’m far more interested in the effect several rules changes are gonna have.

That stupid ass rule where reliever has to pitch to 3 batters unless ending a inning is gonna play hell in some games! That was set to happen regardless of this corona shit tho.

Both leagues having DH is obviously gonna effect national league totals.

Then there the extra inning rule which will also play hell with totals.

I had already taken to my under plays being majority 1st 5 innings last season cause the insanity that is some teams bullpens, so won’t be much a change for me since I had already made the adjustment. Doubt you will ever catch me playing a full game under while the 3 batter rule is alive! (Not to mention the extra inning rule which sure to kill any full game under! Imagine having a under going to extras 2-1 and sweating your balls off!! No thanks!).

Might lead to me playing more 1st 5 inning sides. Or hopefully taking advantage of the teams more equipped to handle the bullpen rule change!!!

Different doesnt mean crapshoot. It should benefit those willing to think outside the box, or those willing to make adjustments and not set in their ways. We shall see, I’m incredibly excited for baseball and thrilled we gonna get it! I’m enjoying learning soccer but capping mlb one my favorite pastimes!

JJ but who to say if they played the games that they miss some of the old stars or new ones would not be hurt?? it a fake season now to me..plus the ones that was hurt can now play JUST ONE REASON I SAY IT A FAKE SEASON NOW.

You entitled to your opinion but many of us thrilled they gonna give it a go. Just because it different doesn’t mean it fake! Whomever ends up winning it all will have to overcome things no other champion ever had to!!

I think it also lends itself to opportunity to take some shots with teams you normally wouldn’t think twice about. I’m pretty confident in saying at least one the perennial playoff contenders of recent years will start sluggish and be knocked out the box before they get their act together!! On other side the spectrum one team or another we normally don’t talk much about will get off to a great start and their belief will grow immensely as they realize they have a legit shot!!

Don’t be so set in your ways!! I for one am not gonna groan and complain just cause things gonna be different. Different is exciting and much better than the alternative of nothing!

I think nba may be a far more challenging endeavor compared to a typical season where we tend to know who the teams in finals gonna be (for most part). I agree with you there. I worry the level of play is gonna be complete ass. I actually disagree with the sentiment that at least nba already got most their season in, stopping for 5 months then playing in a bubble with no fans is gonna make what has happened up to this point meaningless imo. Where as sure baseball gonna be way different with the shortened season I think we will still see a fairly normal level of play once the games begin, maybe we see teams play with far more urgency than we typically would during a 162 game season where slumps happen and a losing streak isn’t the end of the world but I don’t think that hurts the product the way I could see happening with nba.
