we know we had a handul with it back in March that have recovered, so I'm sure that many others got it in April and May and have recovered and tested negative.

so we really need a good antibody test to tell us how many remaining players are there, that could possibly contract Covid?

Once the playoffs get started, people will test positive. And it will completely ruin some teams' chances.

I almost did. But now I just envision a lot of star players getting covid. Imagine the celtics without Kemba or Tatum, LA without Davis or Lebron, Philly without Embiid or Simmons, Bucks without Giannis. How can you even bet on a series?

Just have to bet game by game.

The problem is, imagine if Giannis gets Covid. The entire team will probably get it, and a decent amount of the opponents, definitely whoever guards Giannis, will also get it.

Playing is a stupid idea.

I can’t find the story right now but a couple days ago there was a nba coach saying it’s a real possibility that there will come a point where a team will just forfeit a game rather than play, if key players were positive with covid, or multiple team players were positive. How’s that going to work

NBA should just do a bunch of 32 team tournaments like March Madness bracket. 1 game, and move on. Each tournament would last 2 weeks (5 games total for the winner). This way all the games would be VERY competitive, and if COVID is too much, they can just hold off on the next tournament.

If a team can’t field enough players to play, that kinda tells you the plan isn’t working and they should cancel the season. Nobody is guaranteeing this will work out perfectly.

Seems like a whole lot of athletes aren't following guidelines, imagine that .
I work with 5200 people , we've been back at work for 7 weeks , we have 19 confirmed cases while literally working on top of each other . They're required to notify us on every case so we determine if we need tested if a positive case is someone close .
A whopping 90% of those were traced to be positive from outside work .
One was a family graduation party, 46 family members show up , gets a call the next day to get tested , so the coworker misses 2 weeks due to a family member only telling them the day after they were Covid positive .
