Most of federal testing places being cut back are in Texas. My in-laws are posing a good arguement on why this is not a good and I'm having difficulty arguing with their point.
They state... If it was just the increased testing that was generating increased case numbers, as Trump incidates, then why are Covid-19 hospitalizations in Texas almost 3X higher than 4 weeks ago when Texas started to opened up? There is exponential growth now. Testing does not lead to higher hospitalizations so how can we explain this?
They sent this BS chart. I double checked where they got the data and confirmed it was real and they did not make it up.
Some good arguments please. Not just BS.

This data is found by going to the site, selecting the bottom righthand tab (Additional Data), select the "Accessible Dashboard Data" link to pull up the spreadsheet, and then select "Hostpitalizations by Day" tab in the spreadsheet.

Texas did the shutdown thing (no elective surgeries, no indoor seating, etc...) April 3rd and then did a gradual open between April 30th through ~May18th when bars opened.
